AUGMENTED REALITY
This is a collection of immersive real-time graphics I’ve created using both Viz artist and Unreal Engine. The Viz artist graphics are built through a Cinema4D baking pipeline I developed using python, which gets fast high quality results for any real-time application. The Unreal Engine AR uses standard virtual production workflows and bespoke tools that I’ve created.

This is a Unreal Engine 5 screenshot of an environment I built for Australian focused flooding explainers. I designed the composition around the physical studio, with the grey box on the right being the video wall cutout. Inspired by a few Australian small towns, the environment was designed, modelled and built by myself with the support of a few Megascans.

I designed and built the AR and videowall graphics for the uniquely New Zealand performance show that celebrates Matariki. Filmed at 16:9 for TVNZ+ and streamed live at 9:16 for Tiktok.
-
A bold virtual set extension for a standup comedy show to make the studio look vast. I baked the initials of each comedian from a certain angle that could be easily reached by the jib, once the jib swings somewhere else the type transforms into abstract geometric shapes.

A personal project I did in 2021, designing and building a fully functional virtual set. Made in Viz Artist 4 to test the fusion render pipeline with my own baking pipeline.

A TVNZ local series that explores supernatural stories of Māori, Pasifika, and Filipino cultures. I created the host’s studio Unreal Engine stylised environment to fit with the ominous vibe.

I collaboratively worked on the redesign of 1News’ poll data graphic, building the scene back end functionality alongside an app that populates the data.

Not a question, that’s the actual name of the show! Animated and rendered through Viz Artist.
